How it all started…
Congratulations on your Engagement!! Thank You for considering Blush & Coco for your special day.
My name is Jenah Mackinaw, the creator of Blush & Coco, I am also a wife and a mother. When I’m not with clients or answering emails you can find me going on adventures outdoors with my husband and two daughters or baking something sweet. I realized my passion for beauty from a very young age. I grew up as a dancer and was fascinated by doing makeup and hair for performances. I have always been inspired at how makeup can empower and transform people. I am particularly passionate about bridal hair & makeup because I love the excitement, romance and details surrounding weddings. I feel honoured to be able to contribute to a bride's experience. Nothing makes me happier than creating the perfect glam that captures your unique beauty for your wedding day.
I completed the Professional Advanced Esthetics program at Eveline Charles Academy in 2012. In 2014 I worked as a Makeup Artistry Instructor teaching both basic and advanced makeup classes at the Eveline Charles Academy in Calgary Alberta. I have also had the opportunity to work as a Beauty Advisor for luxury brands such as Chanel and Laura Mercier. My work has been featured in top bridal magazines and wedding blogs such as Rocky Mountain Bride, Joy Wed, Blush, Confetti and Dote Magazine.
I have been practicing and perfecting my craft since 2010 and my work continues to evolve as I do.
Blush & Coco has evolved into an amazing team, that I am so proud of. I truly could not do this all on my own. Find out more about the amazing ladies I work alongside in our Pro Team section. I truly believe that everyone has a unique gift and once you uncover it, you must share it with others. My gift is being able to connect with others through beauty. I am so blessed to be able to do what I love and share it with all of you.
Thank you to all my friends, family and clients for supporting me and helping my dream come true!

This logo and symbol reflects the story and values of Blush & Coco. I based this design off a Cree floral appliqué that is stitched on my daughter's Mossbag. The two bigger hearts are meant to represent myself and my husband and the two smaller hearts are there to represent our two daughters Xaia and Kamea. The four petals are significant because 4 is a sacred number-4 seasons, 4 directions, 4 sections of the medicine wheel(mind, body, heart and spirit). The symmetry of this design is also important because it is meant to represent harmony and balance. I wanted this symbol to not only represent the values of my business, but also the values of my culture. This floral artwork is meant to represent all of the beauty that Blush & Coco has brought into my life and the relationships it has allowed me to create. I am so grateful to the talented artists that work alongside me and the amazing vendors that support us. I am grateful for all of the lovely clients who we have worked with in the past and will work within the future. This symbol stands for everything that I strive for in life and in my business-beauty, balance, connection and harmony.
